Work With Us

Farm Friend Friday

On Friday mornings, we occasionally invite the broader community to come to Winderong to help out in the garden. Whether you’re new to growing food or have some experience, feel free to reach out!

You will be working closely with our crew doing a variety of things such as making compost, harvesting, weeding, prepping soil, and planting veggies. You are welcome to stay for lunch, and there’s a good chance you will leave with some of our harvest or some seedlings!
Contact us for more information or DM us on social media.

Volunteers

Volunteering is a great way to learn, meet likeminded people, experience a different lifestyle, or get a taste of Winderong before considering a more long-term commitment such as our Residential Stewardship program. You can expect to be involved in numerous areas of the farm, including the veggie garden, animal care, bush regeneration, and kitchen team. You’ll also have plenty of free time to explore the surrounding bushland and creeks, work through our extensive library, attend community events, and enjoy the beauty of the South Coast.

Resident volunteers have been vital contributors to Winderong’s growth from the very beginning! Since starting our Stewardship program in 2023, our capacity to host volunteers has reduced significantly but we still have the occasional spot of accommodation free. Feel free to enquire about our availability! (Generally, our minimum length of stay is 6 weeks).
