We offer larger quantities of prime beef to provide you with our quality product at a fair price – cutting out the middleman, saving you time and money.
Our paddocks are managed organically through no-till and holistic grazing techniques. By rotating our cattle regularly and intensively onto fresh pasture, we are working to sustainably regenerate soil and soil life. In the process we are adding more crop diversity to our pastures naturally. Not only does this increase the health of our animals, it also works to sequester carbon in our ever-increasing top soil … so it’s good for you and the planet!

Prime beef doesn’t exist without older cows. At Winderong Farm we love and respect our cows and aim to give them the best life we possibly can. In current beef production systems, after the breeding cow has given multiple calves, at some point she is destined for consumption. This normally involves her being sent to market where she will usually be purchased by large companies, ground for hamburger mince and often sent overseas.
The conventional approach does not utilise the full potential and flavour of the mature beef. Granted, mature beef is not quite as tender as prime yearling but the depth of flavour more than makes up for this. A few alterations to preparation can result in a delicious dinner. Available to purchase in quarters, sides and smaller boxed options of selected cuts, mince and sausages. We are proud to be able to bring this ethical option to you.
Below is a diagram showing where each of the cuts can be located.
